This morning, Rodneyse Bichotte, Assembly Member and Statecommitteewoman/District Leader for the 42nd Assembly District, and Josue "Josh" Pierre, the Statecommitteeman/District Leader for the 42nd, announced their endorsement of Doug Schneider for Statecommitteeman/Democratic District Leader for the 44th Assembly District.
“I have known Doug for years and have always known him to be an activist, a community leader, and a committed reformer. I look forward to working closely with him to improve the lives of Brooklyn families, expand the Democratic base, and elect real Democrats fighting for progressive values” said Assembly Member Bichotte.
District Leader Pierre added, "Doug is going to bring a new and exciting voice to the Brooklyn Democratic Party. He is going to be an excellent advocate for the priorities and values of Brooklyn's Democrats and I look forward to partnering with him."
The 44th Assembly District borders the 42nd in Ditmas Park and Midwood and also includes parts of Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Kensington, and Boro Park.

Doug Schneider is a grassroots activist and attorney who has helped elect progressive Democrats across Brooklyn. He has worked against out-of-scale luxury housing, has been a vocal advocate for pedestrian safety, and has spent over a decade working to reform New York's criminal justice system. Doug was previously endorsed by Assembly Member Robert Carroll, Council Member Brad Lander, District Leader Lori Citron Knipel, the Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats and the Lambda Independent Democrats of Brooklyn.
